Server-Side Rendering (SSR)
The HTML is generated fresh on every request, so the page always shows the most up-to-date data. Ideal for dashboards, live counters, or anything that must be accurate at the moment of the request.
Expected behaviour
Each refresh makes a new server-side call to the GitHub API. The star count updates over time as the Next.js repository gains (or loses) stars, and the render time changes on every request.
How this page works
- 1The browser requests the page from the server.
- 2Next.js runs the component on the server before sending HTML.
- 3The GitHub API is queried during the request.
- 4The server puts the live data into the rendered HTML.
- 5The browser receives a fully rendered page with fresh data.
